We aim to use the benefits of Judo as a sport, art martial, its moral code, the sport principles for life, or its body science roots to contribute to anyone get healthier, confident, stronger and above all to become a better version of yourself.
(How) Using Judo`s harmony, physical exercises, its philosophy for a better body and mind awareness to everyone who wants to benefits from Judo as an athlete, competitor, regular practitioner, or just as a fan of the sport. At Yoroi Dojo we will have classes with a mixture of both kids and adults separated by appropriate age groups.

Saying to everyone we mean by that to aim classes whether in a group, semi-private or private session to certainly strive to offer the best of judo in our club best version. As at the Yoroi Judo, we believe that there is no reason why everyone cannot safely do judo and enjoy its practice and benefits anyone are welcome.
Our class’s programs support the development of young people or not, that nowadays suffer from many issues such as bullying, obesity, depression, lack of confidence, learning difficulties, and emotional behavior and for those that do not suffer from any of these issues.
Our class strategy is a fun and safe environment with structured lessons that will use Judo to combat these issues mentioned above for help our future adults believing that this can contribute for our better society using our Jigotay Principle.
Judo for everyone
At Yoroi Dojo we are socially inclusive regardless of age, race, gender, or ability.*Due to insurance limitations, classes will only accept from 4 years of age.
We certainly believe that there is no reason why Judo cannot be practiced. If necessary, with the right adaptation to each individual, certainly Judo can still be a fun and nice sport for anyone.
We believe that with an appropriate teaching method, everyone has the chance to taste and experience the benefit of Judo.
- Constant bullying can cause Social Anxiety Disorder;
- Some suffer long-term health issues including anxiety and depression as a result of traumatic childhoods.
- Kids with motor skills difficulties are more likely to suffer from overweight or obesity issues due to the discouragement as they tend to have difficulties integrating with the group ( sign up to receive the video that talks about that).

We focus on building self-confidence and self-esteem as we believe the opposite of this can ruin mentally and physically your life.

The Yoroi Dojo founder and head coach is a passionate Judoka who started Judo when he was 8 years old and has been training up until now.
He is an experienced coach who started his coaching live when he was 18 in Brazil and has been currently coaching at UCD Judo club.
He also has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2014, he is currently a purple belt.
Last but not least it worth to mention that he is a husband and a father with lots of experience with kids and passionate to help the children to get to learn Judo in a fun and safe way.

Judo was originally created in 1882 by Jigoro Kano a physical, mental, and moral pedagogy in Japan. It is generally categorized as a modern martial art, which later evolved into a combat and Olympic sport.
Judo is the way of using one’s mental and physical strength in the most efficient manner.
We believe that there is no reason why Judo cannot be practiced by everyone. If necessary, with the right adaptation to individuals, Judo can still be a fun and nice sport for anyone.
A judo practitioner is called a Judoka.
